SCHOLARSHIPS
William H. Weaver Memorial Scholarship
Each year, NHGRA sponsors the William Weaver Memorial Scholarship, awarded to University of New Hampshire students pursuing post secondary education in engineering and leading to a career in a highway related industry.
This scholarship was created in 1968, in memory of William Weaver, of Weaver Brothers Construction Company. The scholarship fund is administered by a Board of Trustees, on behalf of the New Hampshire Good Roads Association.
Applications can be obtained from the Dean's Office in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of New Hampshire. Completed applications for 2025 should be submitted to the Dean's office by the second Friday of March; awards will be granted in April.
We are pleased to announce the Trustees awarded $10,000 in April 2024 to Nolan Prince, Plymouth who is enrolled
in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of New Hampshire.
Roger F. Provost Memorial Scholarship and NHGRA Construction Scholarship
We also offer the Roger F. Provost Scholarship and the New Hampshire Good Roads Association Construction Scholarship. These funds, granted in the spring each year may be used toward study at any post secondary institution. Any NHGRA individual member, or in the case of a NHGRA corporate membership, the bona fide owner(s), or their natural or adopted son or daughter is eligible. Scholarship applications for 2025 can be downloaded from the website (below) or mailed to the applicant. If you would like them mailed, please contact the NHGRA office at 603.224.1823. Applications are due March 15, 2025.

The New Hampshire Good Roads Construction Scholarship awarded a total of $3,000 to the following individuals: Caleb Hauptman, Henniker and Jacob Plante, Concord.
The Roger F. Provost Scholarship awarded a total of $3,000 to the following individuals: Bourne Spooner, Weare; James Cura, Northfield; Caleb Hauptman, Henniker; and Connor Anderson, Concord.
